The General Data Protection Regulation will take effect on the 25th May 2018 and will reform our domestic law on how UK businesses process personal data.
Although many of the GDPR principles build on those in the Data Protection Act 1998, changes will be necessary to the way in which businesses gather, hold and use data relating to living individuals in order for these to comply with the Regulation.
We’ve held a number of events to help you prepare, but as we get closer we wanted to make sure you are all as ready as you can be.
In conjunction with Jacksons Law, we’re holding an event in Teesside to go through the final checklist for businesses, including what you should have ready and what you should be working towards.
The event will cover the ICO Guidance on the 12 point check list, practical tips for making sure you’re ready and real life business examples of how changes are being implemented.
